Charles and Pamela's live seem perfect, they have three children, a cute dog and a holiday home they bought after their first visit to the peaceful town of Newport, but this year things are different and Pamela isn't the only one picking up on it。 This is a slow burn read but it works well as we not only get to know all the Quinn family individually as well as see how things start to change right from the beginning of their trip to their summer home where everyone but Charles seems to be excited Charles and Pamela's live seem perfect, they have three children, a cute dog and a holiday home they bought after their first visit to the peaceful town of Newport, but this year things are different and Pamela isn't the only one picking up on it。 This is a slow burn read but it works well as we not only get to know all the Quinn family individually as well as see how things start to change right from the beginning of their trip to their summer home where everyone but Charles seems to be excited about。 This first book sets the scene as well as indicates that there is potential danger coming to the Quinn family but it isn't all doom and gloom there is budding teenage romance as well as a a stunning setting, but please be aware not a lot is answered in this book you will need to keep reading the series。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

The story line pulls you in from the start and holds your attention until you reach the end。 Family, traditions, secrets and so much more keep you turning the pages and makes it hard to put the book down once you start reading。 The characters are well developed, easy to get to know, and enjoyable。 A great summertime read。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。

Kathy,
A very good beginning to a new series。 There is mystery along with some romance。 As the kids are growing up and moving on, the parents are facing a different life。 And there seems to be something that the husband is holding back on。 Is he having an affair? Is he involved in something illegal? Is it something that is going to physically harm his family? Lots of questions with no answers。。。。yet。 Have to stick around to find out。 I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily A very good beginning to a new series。 There is mystery along with some romance。 As the kids are growing up and moving on, the parents are facing a different life。 And there seems to be something that the husband is holding back on。 Is he having an affair? Carol Van,
Great book This book grabbed my attention in the beginning and I can’t wait to read the complete series as the books become available。 If you love romance, suspense and mystery you’ll want to check these books out。
Lori R,
I thought this was a great first book in a new series because of the secrets and mysteries。 The characters pulled me right in, although I am not sure if I liked Pamela's husband, Charles。 I definitely want to know what he is hiding from his family and what all of the phone calls are about。I really liked that it was set in Newport, Rhode Island where the family owned a vacation home。 They called their home Newport Inn since they rent it out when they are not there。 I also liked the interestin I thought this was a great first book in a new series because of the secrets and mysteries。 The characters pulled me right in, although I am not sure if I liked Pamela's husband, Charles。 I definitely want to know what he is hiding from his family and what all of the phone calls are about。I really liked that it was set in Newport, Rhode Island where the family owned a vacation home。 They called their home Newport Inn since they rent it out when they are not there。 I also liked the interesting cliffhanger too。 I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review。 。。。more

3。5 starsPamela and Charles have been married for over 20 years, have 3 kids and spend every summer in Newport, RI。 We get the backstory through alternating time in chapters and reflection。 This summer is different, with the kids going to college in the fall。 Pamela's husband is not quite himself this trip。 An unsettling event, followed by an accident, makes for a great read, I can not wait for the next book。Thank you to Booksprout and the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary revie 3。5 starsPamela and Charles have been married for over 20 years, have 3 kids and spend every summer in Newport, RI。 We get the backstory through alternating time in chapters and reflection。 This summer is different, with the kids going to college in the fall。 Pamela's husband is not quite himself this trip。 An unsettling event, followed by an accident, makes for a great read, I can not wait for the next book。Thank you to Booksprout and the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review。 。。。more

"I believe everything happens for a reason "Pamela and Charles have been married 25 years and have 3 kids and a summer home in Newport RI [note: I grew up near there]。 Pamela retired from teaching to raise the kids and Charles is a pharmacy rep。While getting ready for their summer in Newport, Pamela senses something's wrong。 Charles is "drifting away" and she's missing their bond, as are the kids even though the twins seem to be settling in their last summer before college and their son is kind "I believe everything happens for a reason "Pamela and Charles have been married 25 years and have 3 kids and a summer home in Newport RI [note: I grew up near there]。 Pamela retired from teaching to raise the kids and Charles is a pharmacy rep。While getting ready for their summer in Newport, Pamela senses something's wrong。 Charles is "drifting away" and she's missing their bond, as are the kids even though the twins seem to be settling in their last summer before college and their son is kind of withdrawing。 Stress is all over Charles and Pamela is at a loss。 Things calm, but the stress is still bubbling as a twin is in a hit-and-run with her boyfriend by a very angry determined person who seems to be connected with Charles' situation。What will happen next? I am not one to spoil serial novels but hang on for dear life because the sea is a little rough。 Highly Recommended 5/5[disclaimer: I received this book from the author and voluntarily chose to read and review it] 。。。more
Carol ,
This was not what I was expecting but I quite enjoyed it。 Pamela and Charles had been married 25 years and she knew something was wrong as they went to their summer home, but he wouldn't talk Even the twin girls knew something was up。 There was some drama and an accident that was not an accident。 Pamela and Charles were growing closer again when some mysterious phone calls came in。 The characters in the story were very likeable and I can't wait until the next book; This is a cliffhanger (which I This was not what I was expecting but I quite enjoyed it。 Pamela and Charles had been married 25 years and she knew something was wrong as they went to their summer home, but he wouldn't talk Even the twin girls knew something was up。 There was some drama and an accident that was not an accident。 Pamela and Charles were growing closer again when some mysterious phone calls came in。 The characters in the story were very likeable and I can't wait until the next book; This is a cliffhanger (which I also did not expect)I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more
